About the hotel

Boasting panoramic views over the Clyde to the Isle of Arran, and only 5-minutes’ walk from Ayr town centre, the hotel presents itself as the ideal base from which to explore the beauty of Ayrshire.

The hotel is a highly recommended choice for golf breaks, with over 30 superb courses in the Ayrshire area. Why not take advantage of the hotel’s complimentary tee-off booking service, available to all guests? If you want a break from the golf course, the hotel’s location is also close to many attractions, including Ayr's long sandy beach and a large play park.

Only a short drive away from Glasgow Prestwick International Airport, the Horizon Hotel is the perfect choice for those visiting the 'Burns An' A' That! Festival' and the Homecoming in 2009.

Set on Ayr's seafront, the hotel has been owned by the same Meikle family for almost 30 years now and in their time have made many improvements.

The Gallery function room is ideal for weddings or private parties, catering up to 150 covers with views across the water to the Isle of Arran. The hotel can also cater for seminars in the 2 meeting rooms, again for up to 150 covers.
